Corrections and Privacy Policy
Correction Policy
Global Insights in Public and Preventive Health (GIPPH) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections are issued when errors are identified that do not compromise the overall scientific validity of the published work.
Corrections may be issued in cases including, but not limited to:
- Minor typographical or formatting errors
- Errors in author names, affiliations, or contact information
- Citation, reference, or metadata inaccuracies
- Other non-scientific errors requiring clarification
All corrections are published as a Correction Notice or Erratum, which is clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency, traceability, and proper indexing.
Retraction Policy
GIPPH considers retraction when serious concerns are identified that undermine the validity, reliability, or ethical standing of a published article. Retractions are handled in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.
Retraction may be initiated in cases including, but not limited to:
- Proven plagiarism or duplicate/redundant publication
- Data fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation
- Serious methodological or analytical errors that invalidate conclusions
- Ethical misconduct involving authorship, research ethics, or participant consent
Retraction Fees
- If a retraction is requested by the author(s) without editorial fault, a retraction fee may be applicable due to administrative, ethical, and reputational implications for the journal.
- If a retraction is initiated by the journal due to verified ethical violations or quality concerns, no retraction fee is charged to the authors.
All retracted articles remain permanently accessible online as part of the scholarly record and are clearly labeled “Retracted”, with an accompanying retraction notice explaining the reason for retraction.
