Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines:

Global Insights in Public and Preventive Health (GIPPH) welcomes the submission of original research, systematic reviews, short communications, field action reports, and policy perspectives that advance population health, primary prevention, and healthcare delivery systems. Submissions must be original, scientifically rigorous, and not under consideration by any other journal.

1. Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). The main text should be in a standard, legible font (e.g., Times New Roman or Arial, 12 pt), double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Structural Requirements (IMRaD Format):

  • Title: Concise, informative, and relevant to public health policy, epidemiological analysis, or preventive practice.
  • Abstract: A structured summary (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) not exceeding 250 words.
  • Keywords: 3 to 6 distinct terms for indexing purposes, separated by semicolons.
  • Main Text: Divided clearly into Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Declarations: Authors must include explicitly labeled sections for Conflict of Interest, Funding Disclosures, Acknowledgments, and Ethical Approval Statements.

2. Core Policies for Submission

  • Double-Blind Integrity: To maintain our strict peer-review policy, the main manuscript file must not contain author names, affiliations, or identifying metadata. Author details must be submitted on a separate, dedicated Title Page.
  • Plagiarism Assessment: GIPPH screens all incoming manuscripts for text duplication. The journal strictly accepts papers with an overall similarity index of 15% or below (excluding references).
  • Ethical Clearances: Any study involving human participants, community populations, or secondary data handling must include an official institutional ethics committee or review board (IEC/IRB) approval number and explicitly state that informed consent was obtained.

3. Reference Formatting (Vancouver Style)

References must be numbered consecutively in the order they are first mentioned in the text. Identify references in the text using superscript Arabic numerals (e.g., as described in national health surveys.¹).
