Authors are requested to carefully follow these guidelines to ensure efficient editorial processing and timely peer review.

1. Article Types Accepted

GIPPH accepts the following manuscript types:

  • Public Health and Epidemiological Studies
  • Policy Briefs and Health System Analyses
  • Editorials and Commentaries
  • Perspectives and Opinion Articles

Authors must select the appropriate article type during the online submission process.

2. General Formatting

  • Language: English
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Page Numbers: Required
  • Section Headings: Clear and appropriately labeled

3. Manuscript Structure

3.1 Title Page (Separate File)

The title page must include:

  • Full manuscript title
  • Short running title (maximum 50 characters)
  • Author names and institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author details (name, email address, institutional address; phone number optional)
  • Author contribution statement

3.2 Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract Length: 150–300 words

Structured Abstract (for research articles): Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion

Case Studies / Field Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Conclusion

  • Keywords: 3–6 keywords (MeSH terms preferred where applicable)

3.3 Main Text

4. Ethical Requirements

GIPPH follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and relevant international ethical standards.

Authors must ensure that:

  • Ethical approval details are provided where applicable
  • Informed consent is obtained for studies involving human participants
  • Clinical trial registration details are included, if applicable
  • Submissions are original and not under review elsewhere
  • Plagiarism similarity is within acceptable limits

5. Figures and Tables

Figures

  • Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF
  • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi
  • Figures must be numbered sequentially

Tables

  • Must be created using Word table format
  • Include clear titles and explanatory footnotes
  • Image-based tables are not accepted

Written permission is required for any previously published or reused images or figures.

6. References

GIPPH follows the Vancouver (numbered) citation style.

  • References should be cited numerically in the text
  • Listed in the order of first appearance

7. Submission Checklist

Before submission, authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript complies with formatting and structural requirements
  • All authors have approved the submission
  • Conflict of interest statements are included
  • Ethical approval details are provided where required
  • Figures and tables are uploaded separately
  • The title page is uploaded as a separate file

8. Peer Review Process

GIPPH uses a Single-Blind Peer Review system:

  • Reviewers are aware of author identities
  • Authors do not know reviewer identities
  • A minimum of two independent reviewers assess each manuscript

9. Publication Model

GIPPH follows a Continuous Publication model.

Accepted articles are published online individually immediately after completion of peer review and production, without waiting for scheduled issues.

10. Open Access & Licensing

All articles published in GIPPH are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing unrestricted use, sharing, and redistribution with proper attribution to the original authors and source.

11. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • APC is charged only after manuscript acceptance
  • Amount: USD 500 per article
  • No submission or peer-review fees are charged
