A: GIPPH publishes across the multidisciplinary domains of public health, preventive medicine, and community healthcare, including Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Preventive Medicine & Primary Care, Health Policy & Management, Environmental & Occupational Health, Global Health & International Initiatives, Community Medicine & Social Sciences, and Public Health Informatics. We place a strong emphasis on data-driven disease surveillance and preventive healthcare delivery systems.

  • Q: What types of articles does the journal accept?

A: We accept Original Research Articles, Systematic Reviews, Field Action Reports, Short Communications, Policy Briefs, and Editorials.

2. Timelines & Review Flow

  • Q: How long does the desk evaluation and peer-review process take?

A: Initial desk checks (plagiarism, formatting, and scope) take 3 to 5 days. The double-blind peer-review processing window spans 15 to 21 days.

  • Q: How quickly is an accepted paper published online?

A: Once a paper is formally accepted, it undergoes rapid copyediting and typesetting, appearing live under our Continuous Publication Model within 5 days.

3. Fees, Waivers, & Open Access

  • Q: Does GIPPH charge a fee to submit a paper?

A: No. There are 0 USD submission fees.

  • Q: What is the Article Processing Charge (APC) and when is it paid?

A: GIPPH charges an APC of 500 USD to cover infrastructure, permanent Crossref DOI indexing, and open-access hosting. This fee is invoiced only after your manuscript has successfully passed peer review and received a formal acceptance notice.

  • Q: Do you offer discounts or fee waivers?

A: Yes. Full waivers are available for exceptional, high-impact papers. We also offer a 50% to 75% APC discount for self-funded researchers or authors from low- and middle-income countries. Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of initial manuscript submission.

4. Plagiarism & Integrity

  • Q: What is the maximum allowable plagiarism limit?

A: GIPPH strictly enforces text integrity. Manuscripts must have an overall similarity index of 15% or below (excluding references) to be eligible for peer review.
